Duos and Debates is the most experimental program of the Platform for Architectural Creation. The principle is that of a quarterly face-to-face meeting between two teams of architects, one working in France, the other in a European country. The confrontation is first developed in the form of an "installation" specially designed for the place, on a "piece of furniture" in the form of a half-pipe equally shared between the two teams selected, each freely staging a question.
Two large screens take over with a film of about twenty minutes, an unpublished document summarizing the approach of the two teams. The real confrontation takes place at the opening of each season, during the public debate between the two teams: a discussion led by a guest critic.
