Images/Cité - Leçon inaugurale 2024-25 du Collège international de Photographie
Entretien avec Michel Poivert, historien de l’art et de la photographie à l’université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne et président du Collège international de Photographie.
The Cinema and Photography program introduces the public to the city and architecture through modern visual arts: cinema, documentary, photography, video.
Fritz Lang, Éric Rohmer, Amos Gitai : a strong proximity has always related the filmmaker and the architect. From thrillers to science fiction and realistic films, cinema gives universal access to the city, real or dreamed, past, present or future.
The Cinema program offers documentary and feature film cycles associated with the Cité's major exhibitions, and themed screening cycles: city, housing, landscape... Each session is composed of a screening and then a debate with invited personalities.
Photography has become an essential medium, both on the art scene and in social networks, and bears witness to the world we live in. By the diversity of the glances that it offers on the built space, it questions it and approaches it in all its singularities.
The Photography program invites photographers to present their work on architecture and the urban, in dialogue with critics, experts, architects, who confront their points of view. The program also presents moving images - video, multimedia works.
